Mount for VL
I have a Canon L1 and a Canon Digital Rebel. I was wondering if there was a mount adaptoer to make the VL lens fit my Rebel.

I have moved this thread to the still photography forum.
The answer is no, there is no such thing; nor would you want to do this. The VL lens creates a 1/2" image circle designed for a Hi-8 camcorder. Your Rebel requires an image circle much larger than 1/2" so basically, a VL lens can't make an image large enough for a Rebel to use. Besides, VL lenses resolve to the Hi-8 video standard which is way, way below the six and eight megapixel resolution employed by the Rebel and Rebel XT digital SLR's. Hope this helps, |
