You can try to sell you camera for whatever you think it's worth to you. However, you might want to do a little research. Working Canon Rebel X, Rebel II, Rebel S, even Rebel G's sell on ebay in the $50 to $75 (occasionally less, much less as in $20 for body only) with a lens. A non-functioning Rebel that has been exposed to saltwater might be worth $5 to $10.

Having been a professional diver & UW photographer, the thing to do (if it is totally flooded) is to get it in fresh water as soon as posible & then into alcohal as stated earlier. Then pray. Worked with the older non-electric 35mm's though they normally didn't last after that, don't think you can ever get all the salt out.
