The Canon 1D/Ds/DmkII all have firewire for image transfer.

is it possible to get the display thru firewire to capture on a laptop or firestore? If not are there any ccd/cmos cameras with firewire output, preferrably high pixel count.

I have never attempted it, but I was under the impressions that you could do just that with the firewire. Anyone here ever try that?

Canon has a capture utility, Remote Capture, to use a laptop. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for or not.
