still camera tripod
Hello
I'm looking for a small tripod for my still camera. Small enough, so it can fit in my largish camera bag, or be carried easily. I really don't know much about still camera tripods, can anyone tell me what to look for? I'm also looking for a TINY tripod, that will fit in my back pocket, but extends to a normal height. I've seen one before at a local video store, so I know they exist, but I don't know the name. ANy pointers?

I have a Manfrotto 719B with a ball "digi" head which is a pretty nice small tripod. It came with a nylon carrying bag. Now this tripod is about as light as I would want to use with my Nikon 5700. If I add the wide angle adaptor lens (big heavy piece of glass that makes the camera front-heavy) then I'm not so crazy about this tripod, it gets a little wobbly. When I'm doing any serious shooting I prefer using my Manfrotto 3221 "wilderness" legs which I had originally purchased for a camcorder. They provide a rock-solid support for the still camera and are nice for long exposures and telephoto shots. Of course this is a much larger and heavier tripod though.
