Question about Photoshop Elements and importing from camera
For some reason, I can't figure out how to select Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 (for Mac) to be the default software to import my photos off my D40x. Can someone help, please?
Thanks, heath

When you plug the camera in, it should mount like a disk and you can just drag the folder or individual photo wherever you like. Then select one of the files, and "get info". Now choose Photoshop Elements in the "Open with" dropdown menu, and you can also click the "change all" button so all your Nikon files open with Elements when double-clicked.
This is how I do things myself. Is iPhoto starting up when you plug your camera in? I know there's a preference you can change to disable that, probably in the iPhoto preferences. Also check the settings under CD's and DVD's in system preferences. I don't think you can use Elements as a way to directly import photos, or at least I've never tried because I prefer to just create my own folders and drag the files there directly. |

Thanks, Boyd. I'll give it a shot.
