Varizoom GT Stabilizer/Help/Guidance

Hi to all.........

I have the Varizoom GT Stabilizer, but haven't get my hands on it yet, and I need some help here please.
I'm planning to use this product with 2 different cameras JVC-HD100 and the new Sony XD-Cam PDW-F350.

1- Is any workshops in NYC about this product??

2- can I go an extra pound (support up to 16 pounds) but Sony XD-Cam PDW-F350 weight about 17 pounds with everything attached.

3- Can you provide any tips on how to use it.

Answers will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Since the skill of operating is manufacturer-agnostic with stabilizers, I would point you towards Peter Abraham's 2-day Flyer workshops, viewable at the steadicam.com site. Worth the money. You'll learn a lot.

Just checked for you--looks like you are in luck, there's one in NYC in March:

William,

Peter's in LA right now. I was supposed to be knocking back a few with him and bunch of other Steadicam guys as we speak, but couldn't get there in time. I'm sure he'll be in touch with you shortly, hang tight. Glad to hear you were already on the page with his workshop. Make sure to tell him I sent ya!
