compelling moves
I have been shooting hanheld and on a tripod for years and have been trying very hard to pursuade my boss that you can enhance a story through the use of stedicam, jibs, dollies, and other pieces of video hardware. Where I work we come up with some great stories and would be capable of buying new hardware. What exactly can these camera moving equipment type hardware help with in video production. What emotions can you provoke with a dolly, jib, stedicam shot which will enhance a story. Are they a good investment, and do they prove professionalism in the right hands. What are the reasons one would buy such products. Thanks

steadishots.org is a site dedicated to the use of stabilizers. There you
can see how a shot can be designed with motion in mind. More over there are comments that ilustrate the intentions for such moves. Steadicam has a grammar of its own in film language. Alexandre |
