Navigator/Sportster V. Hollywood Lite (GT)/V8

Advice please. Between these models of Varizoom & Glidecam

I will be using 7 or 8 pounds at first (camera + various) and Budget is a big deal,

So for $1,500 (+ $500 for hand held device, "sled"?) = $2,000
http://www.glidecam.com/product-smooth-shooter.php
this is 4 -10 pounds
or
http://www.varizoom.com/products/sta...navigator.html
this is -10 pounds

OR
the Next level up in single arm stabilizers:

is $2,500 to $3000 (but I think it includes the sled?)
V8 (discontinued , but I can still find):
http://www.glidecam.com/product-v-8.php

or Hollywood Lite:
http://www.varizoom.com/products/stabilizers/vzgt.html
this is 2 -16 pounds

Is there a huge difference?
Thanks,
J
