Sevenoaks SKW06 Cam stabilizer help

I recently bought this cam stabilizer. I know there is a learning curve involved with this gear and I understand that acheiving your first balance takes trial and error. I have been at it for some time, I've gone to the net to get ideas but so far I can't balance either my DSLR (Nikon D7000 with a compact zoom lens) or my Sony NX30U handycam

I bought the rig at a show, the Sevenoaks guy put the Sony on it and it seemed to have an OK balance but I can't for the life of me get it on my own

I just want to know anyone who has this rig (or the W02 which is for lighter cams) and what is their real world experience; did you get your cam to balance, does it do the job or did I just waste my money

Thanks
