Merlin cookbook for 7D + Tokina 11-16mm + Manfrotto 323 QR adapter

Hey guys,

I've successfully set up my Merlin to use with 7D and Tokina 11-16mm thanks to the cookbook setting in merlin website.

However, I find it annoying having to remove my merlin QR plate and replace with my manfrotto QR everytime I want to go to the monopod/tripod. The provided merlin adapter doesnt really hold firmly and my camera often slides off when the angle is too steep!

So I tried adding the manfrotto 323 QR adapter to the merlin QR adapter so that I can just plonk in my 7D to the merlin easily without having to change the QR plate.

But now, I'm having so much trouble balancing it out :( anyone have a similar setup to this? If you dont mind sharing your cookbook setting.

Cheers,

Johannes
