Dynamic balance and steadycam perfectionnement

Hi, i'm new on this forum but i already learn so much so thanks you.

I spend hours and hours to make the balance of my glidecam 4000 hd and i reach dynamic balance so i'm happy... but i take a long time a i have a few question (i search but don't find answer so i post), maybe some expert could help me.

1. I'm balancing on a "homemade stand" which the "y" axe is not perfectly vertical... (i think the is 10° with the vertical). Is it a problem or not ?

2. I have a lightweight cam (canon xh a1 6.6lbs) and the static balance is very difficult to reach. But when i 'm addind counterweight at the top (on the camera) it make arround 10 lbs the balance is so muche easier. Can you confirm me that it's really much difficult to make perfect balance on lightweight camcorder ?

3. I learn the dynami primer of Jerry Holway and he says that when the side by side balance is done, it stays done when we make the fore and aft balance. but for me it's not, i have to readjust the side and side balance... is it normal ?

I think it's because the xha1 screen for preview (i have no screen). The xha1 screen exeed on the right and maybe it's not good fot the side by side balance.

Last thing : i'm looking for training tutorial and exercide (no problem i have to paid or to buy a book) but it's really difficult, can you help me ?

Thanks very much
