Quick Release head for Glidecam?
Any of you engineer types ever designed a quick release head for a Glidecam (4000 Pro is what I have) ? Even better would be if you came up with some cool mod to a quick release tripod head that would reliably reposition the camera back onto the Glidecam without having to rebalance it or take it half apart. That way I could go from tripod to Glidecam with a minimum of fuss.

John, track down the Bogen/Manfrotto 3270 quick release plate. Should do exactly what you are looking for.

Too late for you, but there's also the Rover Snap.

Thanks Marco. I will keep that in mind if Bogen does not work out. But Bogen system is half the price, so I don't regret it yet. :) And I have to assume the Bogen will work with their tripods and heads as well.

Just for historical purposes, in case future people access this thread, I cancelled order and reordered the Bogen 577 QR adapter. This one will work with 301 & 501 tripods, so is probably more useful. I will let you know when I have it all together.
