Pilot Waist Strap Config
I rented my pilot out the other week to an operator i trust. However the vest came back with a very weird setup on the waist strap and i cant for the life of me get it back to its original configuration, which i found worked really well for me.
If anyone able to post some pics of how the strap looks like when you first get it from the factory? Cheers |

The waist strap config? But isnt yours just velcro straps you can do with as you wish? The rest is fixed and cant be changed?

doesn't Tiffen have a bunch of pics on their website that shows someone putting on and securing the vest?
Actually here it is. Page 8 of the Pilot manual at Steadicam - Tiffen HTHs

Yes but it doesn't give you detailed enough pictures. Its just photos of someone putting the vest on in different stages.
Thanks though. |

Here's the Pilot/Merlin vest strap config, at least as far as my vest has it set up. There's one strip wound around the plastic part and back onto itself, and then another on the other side. Then there's a flat "extension" on one of the sides.
Hopefully the pictures explain it, and if they don't, I can try to explain it better. |
