Accessories for the Steadicam JR?
I've been trying out an associate's Steadicam JR to see if I want to purchase it from him.
I think it's a go, the only trouble is he doesn't have the middle stop thingy (I'm pretty sure that's the technical term). I've been using the light one but it's doesn't really work once I put my mic on the camera. The heavy one is too much for my GL2. I checked the Steadicam website but couldn't find anything. I would have thought they'd sell these as I can imagine they would be very easy to lose. Anyway, does anyone know if I can find a replacement anywhere? Thanks. |

One of our sponsers has this kit. I think it contains what
you are looking for? If not give them a call because they should be able to order such a thing if it is being sold seperately.

Thanks for posting, Rob! I wasn't aware that such a kit existed. I thought you had to order parts piecemeal (at vast expense).

That's it! Thanks Rob.
Too bad they don't have that Obi-light (or whatever it's called) in that kit. Not that I'd ever care to use it, but the guy selling me his doesn't have one and it'd be nice to just be able to show him that full kit and deduct the price from his sale price. As it is now I'll get him to knock off the $35 for the kit and maybe another $15 for the light. |

The kit does seem to include the shoe for it:
" APSJ Steadicam JR Accessory Pack, Includes Obie Light Shoe, Cork Pad, Mounting Screws, Stop Block Set, Weight Set, Video Cable " The light itself is here for $17.95
