Your left hand should MUCH higher on the post, just under the gimbal. That is where the center of gravity of the rig is situated, assuming you have a standard drop time (around 2 seconds). Also, your rig is quite long--if you can stand taking on more weight, it would be better to add more at the bottom and shorten the center post.
