Comparing in the $700-$1500 range

I have a Varizoom Ultralite and thought about adding a Varizoom Sportster vest, but the thought of the dual-articulated arms of the Indicam Pilot vest is relaly appealing. Is there anything else in this range worth looking at? It seems that the dual arms would give me greater reach, so I could shoot from my far upper-right to far lower-left rather than the limited motion of the Sportster.

Does the Pilot work with an Ultralite?
Is there something else I should consider?
