Mount Cam to Mic Stand
Is there some kind of tripod type head that will attach to a microphone stand? I think mic stand screws are 5/8".
I'm wanting to attach a small DV cam to something like a mic stand with a heavy disc base (not legs). I want to put it in a crowded theatre close to the stage and regular tripod legs would get in the way of the crowds. -Scott

Have you considered "clamps" like these?
http://www.b-hague.co.uk/Mounting%20Brackets.htm The point being, that IF you can locate an "existing" clamping point then odds are it WILL be out of the way to start with. |

No, I hadn't seen that before. But I see what you mean now. Thanks!

Found The Solution
A OP-R09M (Microphone Stand Converter for Edirol R-09) will attach to a mic stand and the top can be screwed into the bottom of a small dv cam. And it even swivels. Too bad there are none in stock any where.
