Clamp for camcorder

Hi Guys i have a canal boat festival to cover and need some sort of clamp or something for a small camcorder to film at the front of s canal boat so it can time-lapse the boat coming to its finale.
The camcorder would sit at the front of the boat and I will not be there just set up and leave to film. Any suggestions, suction clamp or??

I have a suction mount from B Hague in Nottingham. Works very well on car windscreens etc. I think they sell it through their Camera Grip website. Not expensive but well engineered and effective - might be good for what you want to do. If not they do various clamps etc. Have a dig around on their website, easily found via your search engine of choice.

A Gorillapod would wrap around the rail, or anything else you can find. They make a firm mount in many situations, most times the only limit is your imagination. I always carry one when I travel, it's the only support I take. I have the Focus with the Ball Head X and use it for anything from a table tripod to a makeshift shoulder rig. A smaller model like the Original (under £20) should do what you want.

Gorillapod is another good idea - I have one of those too and always take it when travelling
