FS5 ND Filter Malfunction
I recently bought an FS5 and there seems to be a problem with the electronic ND filter. When turned on, it flickers.
Has anyone else had this problem? I've contacted the seller to get an exchange. Mark |

Re: FS5 ND Filter Malfunction
Interestingly I've had the odd flash of what could be the same thing, but only very rarely. When it has happened it made me think 'what caused that?', but then things have quickly stabilised and I've ended up ignoring it.
Now that you mention it, it does seem to have happened since I installed the last update. It will be interesting to see if anyone else is having similar experiences. Also in my case it may not be the electronic ND.

Re: FS5 ND Filter Malfunction
Its definitely the ND filter in my case. I can only think that its caused by some sort of voltage regulation supply issue.
I haven't downloaded any firmware updates. This problem existed out of box. It looks like I have the 1.10 firmware on my camera. |

Re: FS5 ND Filter Malfunction
Sounds like you have a camera defect. Talk immediately with your dealer or get in touch with Sony Service. Shouldn't be happening.
