Why does it say "XDCAM" on the side when there are no XDCAM codecs?

Why are there "detail" settings in the picture profiles that are completely disabled and non-functioning?

They function. You can see it on a waveform monitor, but I will agree they don't make a big difference.

Re: Why does the FS5 say A Mount System above E-Mount
If you are watching an 8x monitor expansion and increase the DETAIL to +7 you can just barely see a tiny hint of a slight sharpening effect. On scopes, I could barely see it, on a 4k monitor, not at all. only viweing at and 8x expansion. Going into the MANUAL SET options on my FS5 does 100% nothing. These settings are completely disconnected from the image. Those don't even appear on my scopes no matter how much I move them.
As we know from all other Sony cameras, this is not the case. Wild combinations of DETAIL and MANUAL SET adjustment will give you all the drastic and way over the top sharpening you could ever want! Hopefully this was a programming oversight by Sony and they will get this repaired on the next firmware release. CT |
