Done the update. Very easy and quick. Remember to back your camera settings up to a memory card or you'll lose the lot.
One gotcha is the camera will restart in full auto which gave me a fright as I loaded my preferences in back and the peaking filled the viewfinder with red from all the noise (viewfinder was on).
An Amazon Basics micro USB works just fine. Do not use the micro USB's with clips. You must use the clipless type. If you have a Raspberry Pi, your USB power lead will work fine.
