Sony F3 price estimation
Hi,
I'm interested to buy a Sony F3 package from a friend. What would be a fair price for this package: - Sony F3 body - Paid S-log upgrade - Aja ki-pro mini (proress HQ 4:2:2 recording) - zacuto EVF - Marshall 7" screen - LCD70 - V-mount battery baseplate (no batteries) - 3xSony PL-mount lens: 35-50-80mm - 1x Zeiss CP2: 16mm Kind regards J |

Re: Sony F3 price estimation
Fair price for the F3 at the moment is roughly in the US$2k to US$3k tops range. (but I personally paid just US$1.2K for mine early this year, got lucky :-D )
I wouldn't get the AJA Ki Pro Mini in (almost) 2016, outdated and overpriced for what it is. BMD Video Assist or Atomos Samauri Blade are a much better option, and then you wouldn't need the Marshall monitor either which I also wouldn't suggest buying. Anyway, if you *MUST* buy it... eBay indicates less than US$500ish would be about right for a good price on a AJA Ki Pro Mini (but heh... WHY??? BMD VA is so much better and the same price brand new!! Or the Atomos Samurai Blade). Which Zacuto EVF is it? I'd be inclined to just stick with the BMD VA / Samurai Blade and a sunhood (is what I'm doing with my F3), or get a SmallHD 502 (or maybe adapt the new BMD EVF??) instead. V-mount battery baseplate: depends on which one? But not too much, a hundred bucks or less perhaps is what I'd offer for it personally? 3xSony PL-mount lens 35-50-80mm: I can be 98% certain these are the old original version lenses from Sony. They're nice enough, but nowhere near as good as the current Sony PL ones (which are selling incredibly cheap for PL lens for the set!!). Zeiss CP2 16mm: I wasn't aware of a CP.2 16mm, maybe you mean the 15mm or 18mm?? Or maybe it is a 16mm but not a CP.2?? Compact Prime Lenses | ZEISS International |

Re: Sony F3 price estimation
Very approximate considering condition, and specific model numbers, age, etc.. There is no 16mm CP.2, I reckon it is the 15mm which I own and it is a fantastic lens.
- Sony F3 body - $2300 - Paid S-log upgrade - n/a - Aja ki-pro mini (proress HQ 4:2:2 recording) - $649 - zacuto EVF - $449 - Marshall 7" screen - LCD70 - $250 - V-mount battery baseplate (no batteries) - $20-$75 - 3xSony PL-mount lens: 35-50-80mm - $600/each, $1800 for all three. - 1x Zeiss CP2: 16m - $2500 |
