Yes,
Very nice event! Juan was there showing off the F5 Also saw one of the new F5 prime lenses, which was a bit more compact and solid than the F3 primes. |

Not so much a presentation as a bunch of us swarming around the camera, salivating and playing with buttons, occasionally asking a question. It wasn't connected to a huge monitor while I was there, and this was really more of a 'holiday party' setting than a critical technical showing.
I got the impression that the firmware is still under construction and what we saw will change quite a bit before release. Only saw a mockup of the recorder unit. I'm hoping that the original S-Log will be included along with the S-Log2 that was indicated in the menus, since it would make it easier to match with F3 footage if we need to mix cameras. If others feel the same way on that point it might be a good thing to mention to your Sony rep during the pre-production period. Other than that, the Fujinon zoom looked great on it, as did the one prime lens I saw; and it seems a lot more camera assistant friendly than the F3. I was particularly happy to see that there were a couple of power output connectors as part of the camera body. |

Thanks Dave ... sounds like we will need time to get the real deal. Nice camera though ... well thought out ergonomics ... future proof ... now if Sony could only get those skin tones down pat.
