Re: System is up!!! Well, maybe..

So you got the 18-85 working with LW15 support?

That's a minor feat! Congrats. I know I was a naysayer, but I'm glad you gave it a try. I was only trying to save you some grief if it didn't work (and the chances were high it wouldn't)...the front of that zoom is HUGE, even by 35 cine zoom standards.

BTW, you got the best matte box for that setup too.

Wait, do you have something in there supporting the lens?

Is the MB clamped on fitting perfectly, and supporting the lens that way ? (which is not usually the way a lens gets supported)

Next purchase: a head that can counterbalance 30lbs!

Re: System is up!!! Well, maybe..

Thanks Nate,
The lens is secure with a Duclos lens support and a small camera support reversed to go upside down on the rods. It works out perfect for the LW rails.
One of reasons to stay with the LW is first budget and second the O'Box comes with a LW clamp already.
I will eventually get an ARRI Style support, but I am over budget for this movie as it is. ( The Awakening "The Awakening" | Facebook )
