Project F3 finished
Thats what my finished Rig looks like now. It works really good with the hoodloupe. For me, it makes an external VF obsolete. I added an external Monitor for the Director too. The Battery for it works as a counterweight.

Looks a bit like sticking a Ferrari engine into an old Ford Escort ;) Can the 501 support all that weight?

looks like it will be front heavy, just a job with the shoulder pad in the same place as your set-up and it was painful.

Re: Project F3 finished
I now improved it in some aspects. I added a V-Mount Plate by Bebop. Also a new Swing-Away Mattebox which just arrived today. Its the MB-900 by Cinecity. It is big as hell as its a wide-angle Mattebox, which is a little letdown for me, since I wanted a smaller one after my Geardear One. But the Swing-Away feature makes up for it.

Be careful you don't bend your flip out viewfinder hinge. My door doesn't completely close anymore after I tried the same method. It is very very weak.

Re: Project F3 finished
Looks cool. However, you could use a better tripod, the tripod looks like it couldn't support all that weight and do fluid movement. I would also hate to have to put that on my shoulder for any amount of time. I sure hope you have a focus puller!
