The list for the new firmware
Hi,
Soon I will become a proud owner of the f3…I love the sony f3 the only thing I hate is the lack of the 60fps mode in 1920×1080 25p mode….is there anyone who feels the same? I really miss this feature since the fs100 has it…I would be really happy to see this as a firmware update….I really dont want to have an external recorder because that changes the design and the weight of the whole camera…please sony allow this feature and I guess you will have many happy users old and new… So I really feel this could be a part of the new firmware upgrade...if anyone has any additional thoughts on this issue join in... |

Re: The list for the new firmware
You can shoot 1080p60 using the SDI outputs to an external recorder. You will have to conform it manually if your external recorder doesn't have an overcrank mode. It just won't record 1080p60 to the SxS cards using the 35mb codec.

Re: The list for the new firmware
Unfortunately the hardware in the camera won't support it so its not going to happen. A limitation of the encoders themselves. The encoding section of the camera is lifted directly from the EX cameras. If its crucial then you will have to get the FS100. The F3 isn't going to do it without an external recorder. Sorry. :(
