Need help choosing between an F3 or FS100?
If you can't decide whether an FS100 or an F3 would be the better choice for YOU, take my quiz.
It's guaranteed to give you the right answer or your money back. Which Super-35mm camera is right for you?

Well done, Doug. I think your quiz will answer a lot of questions for many.

Re: Need help choosing between an F3 or FS100?
I'm glad everyone likes it. Thanks for the nice comments.
I wasn't sure it would actually work when the idea first popped into my brain on a mountain bike ride last Sunday night. By the time I got done with the ride I had most of the programming figured out, and after that it was just a matter of writing the code Monday morning. Uli, I think a German version would be great. I'd be happy to create one if you can can translate the questions and the answer choices. Should be pretty easy to convert.

Nice!
What I got: "The NEX-FS100 is 58.2% more likely to be a better camera for you than the PMW-F3." I think that is pretty close. :) |

Doug,
Great quiz. My results were for me to have two F3's. I'll order the second one. I |

Thanks for the quiz, Doug!
"The NEX-FS100 is 1.1% more likely to be a better camera for you than the PMW-F3." Yup... pretty close to what I figured... SIGH. One of each perhaps?

Re: Need help choosing between an F3 or FS100?
Hi Doug,
Were any of those questions geared towards the F3 having ND filters and the FS100 not? Personally, this is a big difference. |

Re: Need help choosing between an F3 or FS100?
Well, both cameras have their good and bad points, and I feel that all of those have been taken into consideration of whether a certain camera would be right for somebody or not. Did you take the test and answer honestly? What did it say? If it said you should get the FS100 anyway, you shouldn't assume it is wrong. The lack of ND filters really isn't a big deal compared to other factors that might push the recommendation one way or the other.

Re: Need help choosing between an F3 or FS100?
Yes, I took the survey and it said the F3 by 19.9%, which sounds about right for me. However, I really want both cameras but the F3 is a must due to genlock and TC to work with my EX3s.
