Zeiss Ikon Wide Angle 3.5/18mm Distagon T* ZF
Has anyone tried this lens with the F3?

Doug Jensen has. Don't have the link but he posted a video a while back of material from Key West. Some of the footage uses that particular Zeiss lens. It's easy to pick out.
The Zeiss lenses are spectacular in my view. The lens coatings give the light a signature falloff between the low highlights and the midtones. I would characterize the look as creamy and moderately punchy in the darker tonal areas but look at Doug's footage. It's all there. |

Actually, the lens I have is the Compact Prime 18mm f/3.5.
As far as I know it is the exact same optics as the ZF, but in a different housing. Anything "wide" in this video was taken with the 18mm View the video description at Vimeo if you want to know more technical details. Nice lens.
