PXW X160 HDMI output question?
Hi Everyone,
I have a sporting gig coming up where I'm going to use my old PXW X160. With its 25X zoom and variable ND it just makes a lot of sense. Quick question. Does the HDMI feed differ if I use either the Long GOP or Intra frame compression? I'm thinking not since both are 10bit 422, so the options above are only to do with compression and not the video stream quality? Please correct me if Im wrong.

Re: PXW X160 HDMI output question?
Regardless of internal codec / compression used, it has no bearing on the 422 video output as that is coming directly from the encoder, not via the encoder compression chip in the camera. This has been the same on all Sony's SDI and HDMI equipped cameras, so nothing to be concerned about.
