Canon lenses
I asked this question before but I am hoping someone can expand on the answers. Can these lenses be used without an adapter?
I have four Sony 1/2" 3-chip DSR300 cameras that are sitting now and have no further use or demand. Three with Canon lenses and one with a Fuji lens Their lenses are superb. Can they be mounted on any of the current cameras??? |

Re: Canon lenses
Dan ~
I take it you are referring to the 1/2" double hot shoe lenses that came with the DSR 1/2" range of cameras. If so yes they can be used on any of the 1/2" PDW-F330/350/335/355 XDcam disc cameras and the PMW-320 without an adapter. I'm pretty sure also with the the PXW-320, though I have not tried one with this later model. With a Fujinon ACM-18 adapter they can be used on an EX3 or a PMW-300. The adapter goes from hot shoe B4 1/2" to the rather unique "EX" type mount with full communication via the two groups of contact pins both sides of the ACM-18. EX3's came standard with ACM-18 as part of the camera kit. The PMW-300 kit was never offered with the ACM-18. Chris Young CYV Productions Sydney |
