EX1R - Serious Lens Problems
Hi,
Just got a serious lens problem on my ex1r. The lens doesn't recognize the lens position anymore. While zooming the zoom indicator in the display doesnt change, and so the focus lens wont move while zooming. But: when i turn the camera off and back on, the indicator jumps to the current position. Self Diag shows error 0x07 on Selftest item 1 Any ideas? |

Re: EX1R - Serious Lens Problems
There have been instances immediately post-firmware update that the camera just randomly loses backfocus on boot. This is the first I've seen that the lens indications have failed at the same time.
You might want to have Sony re-install the firmware, then perform an "Auto FB Adjust" to be sure. |

Re: EX1R - Serious Lens Problems
Hi Jack,
I did no firmware upgrade. I'm allready on the latest firmware. Is there any way to reinstall the latest firmware? |

Re: EX1R - Serious Lens Problems
There's a service USB port on the EX1R. But to be honest, I'd have Sony look at it first then see if reinstalling the firmware is the right way to go.
