Firmware upgrades via XQD cards
I have a PMW200 I want to upgrade to V1.32. Sony instructions note to download upgrade to SXS card, insert SXS card to camcorder and upgrade from the card. Problem is I just took ownership of the camcorder and I have M Series XQD cards ordered and coming in two days. Question: can you use XQD cards and Sony Express 34 adapter to do a firmware upgrade or does it have to be SXS cards?

Re: Firmware upgrades via XQD cards
Hi,
Do you have the SxS-SDCARD-adapter, too? (Sony MEAD-SD02 or Hoodman SXSXSDHC or Sonnet SD-SXS-E34). Because I did all my updates on the PMW-200 with a (not empty) SDXC card (without any problems up to 1.32). Cheers, Alex BTW: Just bought 2 Lexar 128GB 2933x XQD cards for my PMW-200 and they formated and recorded without any problems.... Last edited by Alexander Mellich; May 19th, 2016 at 02:10 AM. |
