Nkon to 1/2" Sony Bayonet Optical Adapter at DVinfo.net

Does anybody know if the glass in this adapter corrects for the optical difference between a single sensor camera and a 3 chip sensor camera (where the path to the blue sensor is further than the other two paths)?

Schneider Optics answer to the question is "...we do not make anything that will convert a normal lens for a 3 chip camera." So I guess the answer is that it does not.
