Usable SDHC cards in the X160/180?
I recently purchased six X160's to use in a couple of multi-cam setups, and like them a lot so far. I was quite surprised to see that Sony had included an SxS/SDHC adapter in the camera box, and even more surprised to find that none (as in: NONE) of the SDHC cards I have been using in an EX30 recorder for a few years were able to be recognized by the X160. Anyone got a brand and/or model that can perform this feat?
Thanks in advance - |

Re: Usable SDHC cards in the X160/180?
You may want cards formatted in exFAT for XAVC and XDCAM HD422 recordings. SDHC/SDXC does NOT support XDCAM HD422 in UDF mode cause Sony locks out UDF support on SDHC/SDXC. However, if you have a card 64GB or over, you can theoretically use exFAT. If not, you are limited to the 4:2:0 XDCAM EX formats and the FAT file system.

The ONLY record format available using the SDHC adaptor is AVCHD.
