EX-3 loose handgrip
Pulled out the trusty old EX-3 last week, and the handgrip lock no longer functions...it just freely rotates.
I hate to start disassembling a housing without knowing what's in it. Anybody fix one before, or is this a "send it to sony, or just live with it" choice? |

Re: EX-3 loose handgrip
Bill,
I don't have my EX3 anymore ...but remembered seeing a very useful thread on something like this a while ago with the original EX1 (that also had an identical rotating handgrip design). So after a few seconds with a quick search I found this thread. I think you might find useful - depends how brave you feel! http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/sony-xdc...rip-loose.html

Re: EX-3 loose handgrip
Wow. That brave I am not. I'll wait until things slow down and send it in for the pros to work on...given that it still functions perfectly well. Just makes for a better wrist workout! ;}
