Has Sony worked out the Sticky Zoom on PMW-200?
I had an EX1 that zoomed perfectly at slow/crawl speeds.
Sold it to move up to EX1r with sticky, jerky zoom that Sony "fixed" by blocking speeds below 8. Grrr. Thinking of moving to PMW-200, but don't want another "That's how they are supposed to work" sticky lens. |

The zoom motor on my PMW200 seems significantly smoother/better than any of the EX3's I've shot with. I also use it with a Bebob/Zoe controller

Re: Has Sony worked out the Sticky Zoom on PMW-200?
Thanks for the response. Does the PMW-200 lens ramp into and go smoothly to a zoom start and stop? Does it hold steady on ultra slow zoom?
I have a Libec ZC-9EX and a Varizoom Pro, with a max speed control dial. They work perfectly with my broadcast lenses and were great with my EX1 for very slow zooms. Can't get slow, steady zooms with the EX1r. |
