Exporting PMW-200 footage

Hi - Just shot a wedding yesterday using 50 Mbps MPEG HD422. Now I'm using Content Browser to capture the footage but it is only giving me an option to export a Windows Media File. Anjy thoughts what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Exporting PMW-200 footage

No need to export if you are using Premiere Pro. Just drop the files in directly.

Ian...I know this is a stupid question, but what NLE are you using?

I don't use Vegas but I happen to know that Vegas can handle all the Sony codecs natively with no transcoding. So just import the clips into the NLE and start editing. No need for any exports from Content Browser.

Re: Exporting PMW-200 footage

If you want to use Content Browser to copy clips from your card to somewhere else then you just open the folder where the clips are in one Content Browser Explorer window and then open a second CB Explorer window with your chosen destination and drag the files from one to the other.

I do recommend using Content Browser to copy your files from your cards rather than just windows explorer as Content Browser will detect any issues with the footage on the card and warn you before it's too late to put the card back in the camera to perform a media restore. In addition in CB preferences (under edit options) you can choose to perform a CRC check to verify any copies you make are valid and not corrupted.
