Media for PMW 300
Is anyone using XQD N series memory cards with the PMW 300 in UTC format? Sony tells me you can't, siting reliablilty issues. They tell me to buy the twice as expensive S series, instead. The B and H video guy says you can use the N series. Any confirmation of either of these positions?

I am using S series, not N. And that not UTC format, but UDF format. N series may have a slower speed and are capable to record 35Mb/s but maybe not 50, that's what I think.

Re: Media for PMW 300
XQD has massive amounts of headroom for transfer speeds even when you're using the low end cards. I think what they're saying is that Overcrank may fail if you use 50Mbps recording mode overcranking 720p at the maximum ratio. (Capture 60p, Record 24p) If you don't overcrank, the N series may be a good choice compared to the more expensive series.

Re: Media for PMW 300
Sorry for the acronym error. I don't know where I got UTC from. Maybe the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
