Moire
I seem to be seeing moire on some shots that shouldn't really be there.. PMW500.. detail -25.. aperture off..
frequency 50... skin detail off.. Or is it just watching footage via content browser preview screen.. air mac 13 inch.. ? didnt notice in VF .. On a shirt that wasnt stripped at all.. but had I guess some sort of fine weave.. wide shot fine.. head and shoulders there is moire .. Any thoughts.. Thanks |

Re: Moire
try looking at it on a full 1920x1080 monitor. The browser programs sometimes display patterns that don't end up being seen in full res. However, I sometimes do get some moire patterns from viewable weave fabrics - seems most problematic with high-chroma blue shirts. (One of the reasons for trying to have a full res monitor around for interviews is to see this on set and adjust shot size to minimize - or change to a different shirt!)

Re: Moire
Take a BMP snapshot and view that at 1:1 pixel size. If that's fine, you're fine.
