Issues ingesting footage from EX-1R
I'm a long time EX-1 user. I was given EX-1R footage. He copies the BPAV folders onto bluray, I copied them onto a hard drive, all seems to be there. XDCAM transfer just won't take it in, not even an error message. I had been on version 2.11. I updated to 2.13, still nothing. I tried to ingest through FCP, but this time got an error message:
warning. BPAV.spanned contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. etc etc. I got a call into sony with priority. So far 20 hours later....... Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thank you |

Re: Issues ingesting footage from EX-1R
Can you view footage in XDcam Browser or Content Browser?
A thought -- When files are transferred to optical media such as CD / DvD / Blu-Ray, often the files are automatically flagged as read-only. Sometimes the read only attribute needs to be removed in order to work with them. |

Re: Issues ingesting footage from EX-1R
Is your destination drive correctly set? Could XDCAM transfer be trying to copy the .mov files to the BluRay disk which of course it cannot do. Just a thought.
You should really be using Content Browser these days. The transfer tool is somewhat out of date.
