EX1 - Composite Output
Hello,
Part of my job is shooting multi-camera events for a local access station. I used PD-150s in the past, however now all their footage is required to be 16:9. Since the PD-150s are poor at 16:9 footage, I have started experimenting with my EX1's to do the multi-camera live events and I been disappointed with the quality. The images from the EX1 are a lot software than PD-150 almost to the point where they are blurry, while the PD-150s look much better. I am taking composite video out of the EX1. I know this is a HD only camera, but wondering if there are any settings I could try first to make the footage better, or is the best I can do? My live switcher is still standard def, however i have considered upgrading for other reasons, and then downconvert the output of the switcher. Would this yield better results? As much as I loved the PD-150s as they cant to good 16:9 I really dont have much use for them anymore. Thanks Mark |

Re: EX1 - Composite Output
I created a picture profile to help make an EX1 mimic an older SD camera. Much of the problem is that HD cameras don't need all the sharpening that an SD camera does. http://www.xdcam-user.com/forum3/vie...php?f=41&t=197
