Thank Doug, so I downloaded the xd cam browser, I just want to ask, can it do the same as xd cam transfer, eg, change the format to mov file from a mp4, if so is there any info on how to use xd am browser. Thx.

Rob, yes you can convert MXF and MP4 clips to MOV for Final Cut Pro just like you used to do with XDCAM Transfer. I couldn't use XDCAM Browser if you couldn't!
There are several ways of doing it, but the command you are looking for is called "Import into Final Cut Pro". The most obvious place to find it is in the drop-down CLIP menus, but there are other ways too. But before you do that go to the FCP tab of the preferences menu and do at least two things: 1) Designate whether you are importing for FCP7 or FCPX. I think the default is FCPX. 2) Designate the destination folder where you want to send the MOV copies. Now you should be ready to do the importing.
