Slow Motion Issue/Question with EX1R

I want to record some slow motion. I've just completed viewing all the DVD's from Doug Jansen of Vortex Media and follewed the steps he outlined (this is extremely helpful stuff for users of this camera and I would highly recommend the DVD's). However, when I press the button to go into the slow motion S&Q mode I get a message that says "cannot proceed". I have the video format set at 720p/30 because the DVD says this is the only video format that slow motion can be shot in. Has anyone ever experienced this before or have any thoughts on what I could try. Thanks.

Larry

Things that will prevent the S&Q button from functioning include being in ANY slow shutter mode. See if turning off the shutter, EX Slow Shutter and/or changing to Shutter "Speed" or "Angle" mode will allow you to enter S&Q.

Re: Slow Motion Issue/Question with EX1R

Thanks for the link and input guys. I'm traveling this week but I will try turning off the shutter etc. and see if I can get the slow motion feature. I really want to be able to use that function for sports.

Larry

P.S. Jansen not Janson. Going too fast.

Ha, ha! Still going too fast?

It's Jensen not Jansen.
Don't worry it doesn't bother me, I just though it was funny that you still got it wrong. :-)
I never realized I had such a hard name.

Re: Slow Motion Issue/Question with EX1R

Off topic here.

When I joined the army the sergeant asked me what my name was?. "Oliver" sergeant I replied. Not that name you stupid man your other name. "Vincent" I replied. For the next two weeks he addressed me by my christian name Vincent, much to the puzzlement of the other lads. The sergeant twigged after two weeks that my surname was actually Oliver. He was not amused as much as i was.

So there we are Mr Joesen, you are not the only one with with an awkward name. :-)
