ATEX Rating for EX1
Quick question.
I have a client who's asked me if the EX1 is ATEX rated. I believe this is a rating that is required to shoot in potentially flammable atmospheres. My guess is that it isn't but does anyone know for sure? Thanks.

Re: ATEX Rating for EX1
Having been researching this as best I can, the evidence suggests it is not and neither would any "norma"l camera be.
You could of course put the camera in underwater gear, and although that would seal it off that would still not be enough. Ah well, you learn something new every day.
