EVF not working
The view finder is almost completely dark, or has a small lighted are at the top, but no picture. This occurs regardless the menu setting, or whether the LCD is stowed or not.
Any thoughts on what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks in advance. |

Re: EVF not working
Could be many things, but whatever it is, the camera is almost certainly going to need to be opened up. Might be as simple as the ribbon cable at the back fracturing or coming loose.

Re: EVF not working
Try resetting the camera wiht the menus and see what happens.
Also, is there any chance you let sun shine onto the VF? Maybe it is burnt up?

Re: EVF not working
Tried the rest, no luck. Get white band at top, occupying about 15-20% of the screen's height.

Re: EVF not working
Like Alister said, it is time to send it in for repair.
