MxR Express card adapter issue
Hello
I have used ex1r with MxR (with sandisk ultra 64gb) for 9 months with no issue. However, 2 days ago the adapter just decided to stop working. It seems like the adapter cannot be recognised by ex1r and macbook pro in any way (but sxs and sandisk work fine after stick to laptop without adapter) It's weird because the day before it stopped working, i shot latest scenes with it and transfered footages to macbook then put it back in ex1. But the next day the camera did not show the media on the screen. I tried to do disk utility in mac but mac cannot detect the card via the adapter. I dont know how to solve the problem. Thank you |

Re: MxR Express card adapter issue
Could be dirty contacts - or some kind of oxidation on contacts.
I'm assuming you've tried an air blower on the adapter? -- on both ends? Have you also tried other cards in the adapter -- as well as this card in other adapters? I've had instances where an adapter seems not to work one day, or in one camera, but then is recognized and tests fine the next day in another camera. |

Re: MxR Express card adapter issue
Damn! That's great service!
I have been looking at adapters for a while but was concerned over reliability and service should something not be right. I had an absolutely terrible experience with Transcend recently where a brand new card that was either duff or fake was sold to me as new - and despite writing to Transcend direct about it 4 times they showed not the slightest interest.. so I shredded it and took great joy in doing so.. I will now go buy an MxR and some decent memory cards! Thanks for the posting - it gave me confidence..
