We use Sony wireless mic's and the trims are set to -57. The only problem I've had with the EX3 is that the built-in mic preamps can be noisy. When I'm recording a soft spoken person I get a lot of hiss in the audio. But it's not an issue with someone who has a normal voice. Here's an example:


You can hear the hiss whenever he stops talking.
