PMW-350 error code E-15030
Has anyone else had this error code come up? is it an easy fix?
Camera seems to record fine but I'm unable to change the output of the SDI/HDMI - it is stuck at 576p (which I've never used) If I try to change output format the error code E-15030 comes up and the camera needs to be powered down. Have dropped the camera off at the retail/rental place I got it from but they were scratching their heads a bit and are passing the issue back up the line, which could take awhile to happen.

Sounds like a software bug, are you on the latest version of firmware for the camera?
It may also be that the camera is searching the SDI port and if it can't see a signal it is causing it to lock up. Either way a firmware fix should sort this out unless the camera hardware is faulty.

Re: PMW-350 error code E-15030
Local dealer installed version 1.3 (up from 1.1) but made no difference to the SDI out or error code.
Camera has now been sent to Sony Australia for them to look at.

Re: PMW-350 error code E-15030
Camera has returned from Sony.
They said that this was a 'known issue' - they reflashed the camera & reinstalled the firmware (whatever that really means) and all is now good. Said it shouldn't happen again with the new firmware (ver1.3) so I'd recommend that people update their camera before they get caught out.

At least the admitted it was a problem, I spent a year trying to get my Z7/S270 tapeless plug in to work with FCP but never got it to import meaning I had to buy clipwrap, I now use panasonic P2 cameras.
