HD-SDI output

A silly question. I know that the EX3 uses an MPEG-2 codec recording to its card, but what codec is sent out the HD-SDI port?

Re: HD-SDI output

HD-SDI signal is an uncompressed 4:2:2 signal so whatever device you're capturing to would have to apply any compression codec.
