Dark Spot on the lens of EX1 Camera
Hi guys,
We just purchase an EX1 as a secondary camera. Overall we have been very happy with it, but the other day I noticed that when shooting a skyline, there was a small dark spot in the upper right hand corner of the image. When I zoom in it moves out of the image, which leads me to believe that the spot is on the lens. I have tried cleaning the lens several times, but the spot does not go away. Does this mean that the dirt may be on the inside of the lens or on the CMOS sensor? Has anyone experienced this? |

I had the same issue when I first got my EX1. There were several bits of junk inside the camera which only showed up when stopping down the lens and pointing it toward open skies. I sent it to Sony and they replaced the lens.

We have decided to send it to the Sony Service Center in NJ. It should be covered under Warranty.
